Reading Dog

Here at St Bernadette, we are very fortunate to have a School Reading Dog who joins us on a weekly basis to read with our pupils.

Yazmin is our wonderful reading dog who brings plenty of joy, comfort and confidence to our school community. She loves spending time with pupils and helps make reading a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Whether children are reading aloud to her, sharing a favourite story, or simply enjoying her calm company, Yazmin is always ready to listen.

Having Yazmin as part of our school family helps children build confidence in their reading skills while creating positive memories around books and learning. Her gentle nature and friendly personality make her a much-loved member of our school.

Yazmin is owned by Mr Hull a grandfather of a pupil , who brings her into school each week to support our pupils and encourage a love of reading. Together, they make a fantastic team, and we are delighted to have them as such a valued part of the St Bernadette school community.
